COVID-19 Update

To our Destination CrossFit family,

We know you are all overwhelmed with information and uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 virus and we would like to communicate what we are doing to keep you safe while you visit our facility.  As of right now we intend on remaining open unless we are advised otherwise. Here are some of the steps we are taking and ask for your participation in:

1. If you are feeling “off”, sick, have common cold symptoms or if you have been around any one who has been sick, it is best to err of the safe side and not come to the gym.

2. Upon arrival at the gym please wash your hands. Proper hand washing is 20-30 seconds of scrubbing vigorously with soap and water. Use a paper towel to dry hands, turn off faucet, open door, turn off light, and then throw the paper towel away.

3. Consider registering, signing in and recording your workout on your phone. We will be sanitizing the main computer keyboard/mouse between classes anyways but this is a good extra step you can take to protect yourself further.

4. Before AND after using any equipment, please sanitize it using the wipes or the bleach spray located throughout the gym.  This includes but is not limited to, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, jump ropes, rings, your pull-up station, rowers, bikes and air runners.

5. Wash your hands again before leaving the gym.

6. We will temporarily be removing chalk at this time. If you require chalk, please bring your own, keep it in a bag, and only apply it to your hands. DON’T SHARE IT. This includes chalk to write with.  You are welcome to bring in your own personal notebook and writing utensil or use poker chips. We need to use things we are able to sanitize or dispose of afterwards.

We encourage you to check the CDC website for current information regarding the virus and any updates HERE: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

We don’t know what tomorrow or the next day will bring, and we will remain ready to pivot.  We will stay on top of the situation and operate the gym responsibly as it unfolds and keep you all in the loop.

Sincerely,

Shane, Amy and Nikki
